Dr Kevin Winn

About Kevin
Dr. Kevin Winn is an educational policy and evaluation researcher with a focus on racial equity for students and teachers. His ethnographic research addresses how community activists promote racial equity by shaping local education policies through collaborating with school district leaders. Dr. Winn has also taught in a Montessori school in Agadir, Morocco, and he conducted research in Arusha, Tanzania, where he examined how short-term volunteers influence local schools and orphanages. In all of his projects, Dr. Winn’s aim is to make research usable and available for the public.
Dr. Winn completed his Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Evaluation from Arizona State University in 2020. He holds an M.A. from Yale University in African Studies, and a B.A. from Emory University in Middle Eastern Studies and African Studies.
