Noyce Mathematics Education Teaching Scholars [Noyce METS]

The Noyce Mathematics Education Teaching Scholars (METS) program is designed to increase the number of highly qualified mathematics teachers committed to working with students in high-needs schools. The Noyce METS program provides scholarship funds to support scholars’ tuition and living costs, as well as other benefit funds to support professional development and technology purchases. In addition to the financial benefits, the program also provides scholars a network of support staff, a community of fellow scholars and opportunities for professional development and classroom experience. In exchange for each year of funding received, scholars commit to two years of teaching grades 9-12 in a high-needs school district.

The Friday Institute Evaluation team is conducting the external evaluation of this multi-million, multi-year grant.
