Investigating How Teachers Implement Data Lessons and Support Equitable Student Participation

The purpose of the study is to gain a better understanding of how teachers implement statistics and data science lessons in their classrooms and out of school enrichment programs, as well as the extent to which teachers support equitable student participation while teaching statistics and data lessons. The project team will examine how 6th-12th grade mathematics and statistics teachers teach lessons focused on statistics and data science through classroom observations, examination of lesson plans, a teaching practice survey and interviews.
