About Austin

Austin is a PhD student in Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis at NC State. His research focuses on early childhood education and the alignment of curriculum and leadership between our state’s preschools and elementary schools. Previously he has conducted research on social-emotional learning and teacher quality in international contexts and has taught secondary chemistry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a second major in Anthropology from UNC Chapel Hill and a Master’s in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
