Frequently Asked Questions

Is registration still open for a session I want to attend?
You check this page to see if the registration link is still live. If it is still live, you may still register. Session capacity limits at 500. If you cannot register, please locate another session offering. If they are all full, please check out the individual session page to see if a recording has been posted.
Will I receive CEUs for the sessions I attend?
Yes, if you attend a live session and complete the evaluation shared at the end, you will have the option to request a certificate or not. If you request a certificate, one will be emailed to you by FI staff. We ask for your patience in this process, certificates are being sent as they are ready. CEUs are only awarded for the completion of a live session. We do not provide CEUs for the viewing of a recording. If you have questions about certificates, please contact Jonathan Barbee.
How do I register for a session?
Visit the Remote Learning for NC Educators page, find a session, and click on the registration link.
Where is the Zoom link for my specific session?
Once you complete registration for a session, you should receive a confirmation. If you have not received a confirmation, it is very likely that the confirmation has gone to your junk/spam folder or is blocked by your school or district. If you’ve checked all folders and still do not have a confirmation, please contact Emmy Coleman.
How do I cancel my registration for a specific session?
Registration can only be canceled in Constant Contact. If you will send Emmy Coleman the session/date/time, she will cancel your request.
I didn’t receive the evaluation link at the end of the session I attended, how do I get it?
Your facilitator should have posted a slide deck for your review. The session evaluation link will be located at the end of the presentation. Participants will only have 3 (three) days from the session offering to complete the evaluation. After the 3 day period, your request(s) will not be accepted.
Where can I find the resources from a session I attended?
Facilitators will be posting resources to their individual session pages after the session has ended.
Where can I find the recording of a session I attended?

Recordings take time to put in place, so we ask for your patience with this process. Please take a look at the Remote Learning for NC Educators page.
I didn’t receive confirmation from a session I registered for?
Once you complete registration for a session, you should receive a confirmation. If you have not received a confirmation, it is very likely that the confirmation has gone to your junk/Spam folder or is blocked by your school or district. I’m in a session and having technical difficulties, what do I do?
If you are having technical difficulties during your session, please reach out to your facilitator(s) in the chat window. It would also help to turn off your camera to help balance bandwidth. By clicking the up arrow next to the mute button at the lower left of the Zoom screen, you’ll have the option to switch from “Computer Audio” to “Phone Audio”. Phone audio often solves issues of audio drop-outs. You should be muted throughout the session unless the facilitator unmutes you or you have been called upon to respond.
Is this session being recorded?
We are offering multiple times of the same session and we’ve asked our facilitators to only record one session since it is the same material. You can locate recordings on the individual session pages, once they are uploaded by the facilitators. Recordings take time to put in place, so we ask for your patience with this process.
