This month, we will hold our first virtual FI CrossTalk discussion on the video How to Be An Antiracist. In the video, Dr. Ibram X. Kendi talks with journalist Jemele Hill to explore what an antiracist society might look like, how we can play an active role in building it, and what being an antiracist in your own context might mean. This discussion will help us have some common language and foundational ideas as we continue with our agenda to be an antiracist organization.
In preparation for the CrossTalk:
1. View Dr. Kendi’s video.
2. Be prepared to participate in a Zoom breakout discussion on what you learned from watching Dr. Kendi’s talk. Suggested prompts:
What was at least one idea you learned about how to be an antiracist from the discussion?
How can we apply what we learned to our work at the Friday Institute?
What is at least one question you still have about antiracism?
RSVP to Marjorie Santoro at firstname.lastname@example.org.
