Computer Science Discoveries Workshop
This five-day summer training is part of a full-year professional learning program to prepare teachers to teach CS Discoveries, an introductory computer science survey course for middle schools using Code.org curriculum, which takes a wide lens on computer science by covering topics such as programming, physical computing, HTML/CSS and data. The professional learning program includes this week-long workshop as well as four one-day Saturday workshops during the school year when teachers will reconvene for ongoing training and just-in-time support. There are also additional opportunities for online and face-to-face networking and collaboration with peers and industry professionals throughout the year.
