Evaluation of Educational Innovation
New instructional technology innovations emerge on a regular basis, such as Web 2.0 applications, one-to-one computing initiatives, and virtual schooling. It is important to conduct rigorous evaluations of these new and existing instructional technology initiatives to determine the impact on teaching and learning; and, to make informed decisions about adopting and appropriately implementing innovative practices in schools. In this initiative, the Friday Institute Evaluation Team examines the extent to which the schools and districts implement innovative project strategies and achieve technology project objectives; as well as to inform local and state-level decision-makers on future technology policy and funding.
