This Wiki was created during the 1:1 Math Workshop on October 20-21. Included are online resources and materials created by participants of the workshop.

Each site centers around the primary concepts of the Virginia Standards of Learning. Within each concept, there are lesson plans, activities, additional resources, and various forms of assessment.

Learn NC is a Website run by the University of North Carolina. The resources have been sorted by content strands based upon the North Carolina Standard Course of Studies. Included are online resources and lesson plans.

The site offers standards-based lessons and resources that help to integrate technology into the curriculum. The materials are interactive, target higher-order thinking skills, and differentiated for varied learning styles.

ENLVM links to three resources: ENLVM lessons, NLVM Website, and Teacher lessons. ENLVM lessons and Teacher lessons can be sorted by subject. Each lesson contains lesson plans and applets to help learn the given concept. NLVM Website contains interactive applets for students of all ages.

Explore a library of 99 online activities that help to make math come alive in the classroom. The site also includes lesson plans, worksheets, and videos that can be used in the classroom. All lessons and activities are aligned to the NCTM standards.

Figure This! is an NCTM sponsored site. It provides lesson plans and activities that can be completed either online or can be downloaded as a PDF and reprinted (click here for downloads). Activities can be viewed by concept by clicking the “Math Index” tab at the top of the site. Each online activity includes additional problems based on the same concept and additional resources that relate to that concept.

Interactivate is free, online courseware that provides exploration in science and mathematics. It is comprised of activities, lessons, and discussions. Interactivate provides alignments with a number of common math texts. For every lesson of every chapter of an aligned text, they provide links to relevant Interactivate activities, lessons, and discussions.

Math Tools is a database of online applets split by subject and concepts within each subject. The applets vary from tutorials to interactive activities. Clicking on a activity may redirect your computer to a new site where that applet specifically exists.

Manipula Math contains interactive programs that can be manipulated. The interactiveness of the applets helps provide meaning to the mathematical concepts being learned.

This site contains activities and lesson plans that incorporate both the graphing calculator and unique problem situations into the concepts students learn. The activities and lesson plans are downloadable and are allowed to be copied for use in the classroom.

Toolkits is a UK based Website that includes simulations, tutorials, and mini web-lessons. Key Stage 3 also includes various applets that are algebra-based.

These sites contain links to math Webquests for elementary, middle and high school levels, as well as links for creating your own Webquests. Most of the math Webquests provided involve five processes: problem solving, reasoning, communication, connections, and representation.
