DyKnow is a classroom management and collaboration tool that allows teachers to monitor and control students’ computer use. Teachers can not only see what their class is doing, but also block applications that the students won’t need during a class.
DyKnow presented an overview to this software at the November workshops held at the Friday Institute. Initial response from teachers was positive, and those teachers who are currently using it have been happy with it. A couple of teachers mentioned trouble with keeping up with all of the students’ screens and a teacher had an issue with students finding ways to get around the system.
