Policy & Action Series to focus on assessment and accountability


Raleigh, N.C. -- The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in the College of Education and the Friday Institute will host this year's Policy & Action Series on April 26 at 4 p.m.

The seminar, "Putting a Face to the Data: The Future of Student Assessment and School Accountability," will take place at the Friday Institute on Centennial Campus. For directions, visit http://www.fi.ncsu.edu/contact/.

Featured speakers include Dr. William Sanders of the UNC system and SAS Institute, (bio) and Dr. Gerald Bracey, a noted educational researcher and author (bio). A panel discussion, featuring nationally known educators Dr. Louis Fabrizio, Joel Giffin and Sharon Kirk, will help focus on key issues.

The event is free and open to the public.
