Future Ready Schools Initiative
The Future Ready Schools Initiative is a combined effort lead by the US Department of Education, The LEAD Commission, and the Alliance for Excellent Education and over 40 industry and education organizations. The goal of the initiative is to maximize digital learning opportunities for students and to help school districts move quickly toward preparing students for success in college, a career, and citizenship. Through 13 nationwide regional summits and a number of digitally available tools, the initiative aims to provide districts with the resources and support they need to ensure that local technology and digital learning plans align with instructional best practices, are implemented by highly trained teachers, and lead to personalized learning experiences for all students, particularly those from traditionally under-served communities.
The evaluation of the Future Ready Schools Initiative applies a combination of traditional and just-in-time evaluation approaches to measure the fidelity of the summits and their short term impacts on participating school districts.
